About Supreme Release Yoga (ŚRY)

At Bhakti and Bloom, we believe in practices that foster deep rest and connection. Supreme Release Yoga, or ŚRY, embodies this philosophy, offering a transformative journey into the heart of yoga.

What is Supreme Release Yoga?

Supreme Release Yoga (ŚRY) is a deeply restful yet profound practice. It is approachable because it works with gentleness, awareness, and adaptability - meeting you where you are.

It is not a practice of pushing, striving, or achieving a particular physical form. It is not about how far you can stretch or what shapes you can create.

It’s not easy.
It’s not hard.
It’s deep.

ŚRY is a practice of opening and revelation. It invites you to experience the body not as something to fix or overcome, but as a place of awareness, exploration, and discovery.

Drawing on asana, pranayama, mantra, Vedic understanding, and quiet contemplation, ŚRY uses carefully considered support and positioning to work with the spine in a deeply intelligent way.

The spine is not only the central axis of the physical body, but is also understood within yoga traditions as a pathway for deeper awareness and consciousness.

Through this practice, there can be a release of tension held within the muscles and tissues, as well as an opportunity to explore deeper patterns and impressions held within the system.

This is not a workout-based yoga practice. There are no sun salutations, no striving, and no focus on physical achievement.

Instead, ŚRY creates the conditions for the body and mind to soften, allowing what is already within you to reveal itself.

The practice is rooted in the understanding that yoga is not simply about the body—it is a path towards deeper awareness and the revelation of our essential nature.

The Lineage of ŚRY

Supreme Release Yoga (ŚRY) is a tantra practice taught through the lineage of Kaya Mindlin.

I am honoured to share this practice as it has been passed through this tradition, with humility and respect for the wisdom it carries.

"ŚRY is profoundly blissful – it FEELS amazing. And ŚRY is supremely healing – it will truly transform your body from the inside out. This yoga is free from any risk of injury, overstretching, or over exertion. This is a yoga of true opening. It may be what you have been looking for all along. The more you do the better you feel." ~ Kaya Mindlin

Who is ŚRY for?

ŚRY may be for you if you feel drawn towards a deeper exploration of yoga beyond the physical practice.

It may be supportive if you are:

  • Seeking a quieter, more internal practice that moves beyond effort and achievement
  • Longing for deeper rest, release, and a sense of openness within the body
  • Experiencing physical tension or patterns of holding and want to explore a gentler approach
  • Moving through periods of change, stress, or transition and feel called towards greater awareness and steadiness
  • Curious about the relationship between the physical body, subtle body, and consciousness
  • Drawn to the deeper teachings of yoga and self-discovery

ŚRY is suitable for those who are willing to slow down, listen inwardly, and meet themselves with curiosity and awareness.

It is not about achieving a particular shape or pushing the body further. It is an invitation to explore what becomes possible when we soften, release, and allow.
