A Soft Space for Community, Song, and Story

Kirtan is a beautiful, heart-centred practice of chanting and singing the Divine names together. Unlike traditional choir singing or musical performances, there is no audience, no expectation, and absolutely no musical experience needed.

We do not use a complex call-and-response format; instead, we simply sing together as one collective voice. The repetitive nature of the mantras acts as a gentle anchor for the busy mind. As the sound fills the room, the internal chatter naturally quiets, allowing you to drop into a state of deep, joyful meditation without having to try.

The Gift of Storytelling and Rest

A beautiful, unique part of our Kirtan gatherings includes a dedicated space for deep, physical relaxation.

During our time together, you will be invited to wrap yourself in blankets, lie down comfortably, and simply rest. While you are cosy and still, I will share a sacred or comforting story with the room. This weaving together of community song and soothing storytelling creates a deeply nurturing container - allowing you to absorb the medicine of the afternoon with zero effort.

What to Expect at a Gathering

  • Come as You Are: You can sit comfortably on a cushion, use a chair, or change positions whenever you need to. There are no rigid rules.
  • No Pressure to Sing: If you prefer to simply sit or lie down in the room and let the waves of sound wash over you without singing a single word, that is completely honoured.
  • A Local Leyland Gathering: These are intimate, gentle community events held in a warm, beautifully lit space in Leyland, Lancashire.

How to Join the Next Circle

Because these gatherings are held occasionally throughout the year, dates are not always listed live on the website. Instead, spaces are shared quietly with our community circle first.

If you would love to sit in a room of shared sound, enjoy a comforting story, and connect with like-minded gentle souls, join our dedicated Kirtan waiting list below. You will be the very first to receive dates, location details, and booking links when the next circle is called.
